Dear Mini DebConf attendees,
You are reading this email because you've registered for Mini DebConf
Toulouse 2024. This <minidebconf-toulouse-attendees(a)france.debian.net>
list will be deleted right after the event. No data will be kept. It's
moderated and will only serve for announcements.
While all the important information can be found here on the wiki:
https://wiki.debian.org/DebianEvents/fr/2024/Toulouse, this mail aims at
letting you having all essential info in your inbox.
# Mini DebCamp (14th and 15th November)
The Mini DebCamp will take place at « Artilect » :
10 rue Tripière
31000 Toulouse
https://artilect.fr/
Registration is closed (due to limited room size), but you can email
<orga-minidebconf(a)france.debian.net> if you haven't registered and would
like to come. We will try to see if we can find a solution.
On Thursday 14th, the venue will open at 9 AM. Some of the orga team
members should be there starting 10 AM.
There should be a catering for lunches on Thursday and Friday. Water,
coffee and tea will be provided all day long. We will cover the expenses
for this catering, but breakfast and dinner are neither organized nor
paid for.
Currently, 32 people have confirmed that they are sure to attend. Some
have replied partly/maybe, but in order to organize things smoothly and
make sure that the catering has the right amount of menus, we need a
definitive answer as soon as possible. Please update the wiki and send
us a mail so that we don't miss the info.
We'll try to have some vegetarian, vegan and non-vegetarian options. We
currently aim to have 9 vegan, 9 vegetarian and 17 non-vegetarian menus
to cover for 35 persons.
To help us having the proper menus splits, especially if your diet is
vegetarian or vegan, please send a message to <peb(a)debian.org> before
Tuesday 12th so we can try to accommodate you the best we can. People
with allergies or who would like a gluten-free option should also
contact us. We can't promise that everything is possible but we'll
manage if the catering can't answer positively to our requests.
# Mini DebConf (16th and 17th November)
The Mini DebConf is hosted at a larger event called Capitole du
Libre. It's a FOSDEM-like event focused on Open-Source technology and
culture, but much smaller and mostly French-speaking. Most of the
logistics is taken-care of by Capitole du Libre. We have been assigned a
dedicated room for the whole event. The schedule can be found at
https://toulouse2024.mini.debconf.org/schedule/ .
For those curious about the Capitole du Libre a lot of information is
available (in French) on their website:
- Main page: https://capitoledulibre.org/
- How to come: https://capitoledulibre.org/venir/
- Schedule: https://capitoledulibre.org/programme/
If you have registered for the Mini DebConf on the wiki, we've made the
registration for Capitole du Libre for you. You should have received an
email with your ticket, including a QR-Code that you'll need to show to
enter the venue (no ID is required). If you did not receive your ticket,
please contact us ASAP at <orga-minidebconf(a)france.debian.net>.
You will have to pay for your food during the event. A stand will offer
breakfast in the morning and coffee/tea/soda all day long. Food-trucks
will be there for lunches, inside the venue. There are also many food
options outside the venue. *A (free) cocktail will take place on saturday
night after the last talks*.
Besides sponsor stands, Capitole du Libre has a big room with stands for
distributions, Open-Source projects and communities. As usual, Debian
will be there to chat with attendees and sell some goodies (t-shirts,
mugs, stickers…). We would happily welcome any help with the Debian
stand. If you can spare some time, please send an email to
<orga-minidebconf(a)france.debian.net> or subscribe on the wiki.
